{"id":10966,"date":"2010-03-01T12:26:57","date_gmt":"2010-03-01T16:26:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/?p=10966"},"modified":"2010-03-01T12:26:57","modified_gmt":"2010-03-01T16:26:57","slug":"fellowship-japan-liason-for-polaris-project-dc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/2010\/03\/01\/fellowship-japan-liason-for-polaris-project-dc\/","title":{"rendered":"Fellowship: Japan Liason for Polaris Project (DC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>This posting comes from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.idealist.org\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Idealist<\/strong><\/a>, a job listing site for those interested in non-profit, educational or activism work around the world.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Polaris Project, an international non-profit organization aimed at stopping human trafficking, is looking for a bilingual fellow to work at their office in Washington, D.C. for 4-6 months. \u00a0The fellow will facilitate communication between the D.C. and Japan offices and play a large role in global initiatives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\"><strong>ROLES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>* Assisting the executive management team and PPJ staff in developing and implementing:<br \/>\n+ Programmatic activities, both PPJ-centered, and joint office initiatives<br \/>\n+ Operations\/Financial policy and mechanisms<br \/>\n* Fundraising initiatives, including identifying funding sources in both the US and Japan<br \/>\n* Translating financial, press, and other materials for internal use and public distribution<br \/>\n* Working with the PPJ office and individual departments on other activities as assigned<br \/>\n* Assistance in Performance Measurement management for PPJ<br \/>\n* Assistance with annual Questionnaire from the Office to Combat and Monitor Trafficking in Persons.<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nQUALIFICATIONS:<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\n* Strong commitment to human trafficking and human rights generally.<br \/>\n* Business-level English and Japanese language skills &#8211; both writing and speaking.
