(A degree in \u201cTeaching English as a Second\/Foreign Language\u201d is not sufficient.)<\/li>\n<li>Qualifications to teach in a jurisdiction with primarily English-based education. (This means that the candidate must be a\u00a0<strong>qualified teacher<\/strong> in a country such as Australia, Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom, or the United States.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: normal;font-size: 13px\">OTHER PREFERENCES: <\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience teaching in an elementary school.<\/li>\n<li>Experience teaching at an international school, or in a multicultural environment.<\/li>\n<li>Experience teaching non-native speakers of English.<\/li>\n<li>Experience teaching the Primary Years Programme of the International Baccalaureate.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with inquiry-based learning.<\/li>\n<li>Experience living in Japan, or living abroad.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Teach all core subjects: Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies<\/li>\n<li>Share responsibilities in other subjects: Art, Physical Education, Music, and Media Studies<\/li>\n<li>Able to manage a dynamic classroom setting.<\/li>\n<li>Possess the flexiblity to deal with new students and new teaching paradigms gracefully.<\/li>\n<li>Have a clear understanding of the importance of professional development, through workshops\/seminars and independent learning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>HOW TO APPLY:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit a resume outlining your education and employment history (including your current position), and give three references who can be contacted.
