{"id":6078,"date":"2009-05-16T16:14:07","date_gmt":"2009-05-16T20:14:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/?page_id=6078"},"modified":"2009-05-20T10:07:23","modified_gmt":"2009-05-20T14:07:23","slug":"rice-cooker-chronicles-bios","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/jetwit.com\/wordpress\/jetwit-lit\/the-rice-cooker-chronicles\/rice-cooker-chronicles-bios\/","title":{"rendered":"Rice Cooker Chronicles:  Bios"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"il\"><strong>Meredith<\/strong><\/span><strong>\u00a0Hodges-Boos <\/strong>(2003-2005 SHS ALT, Ehime-ken) and her husband Greg (2003-2005, JHS, Yoshida-cho) miss Japan.\u00a0 This homesickness is one of her greatest impetuses to write.\u00a0 She has completed eight novels, including two children&#8217;s books for her new daughter, Kyrie Alice.\u00a0 Addicted to manga and anime for almost twenty years, she hides her <em>otaku<\/em>-ness well.\u00a0 Yet her love of comics allowed her to connect with students both in Japan and back in America.\u00a0 Sadly, the prinicials on both sides of the world lacked the necessary coolness to fully appreciate Inuyasha.\u00a0 She is now editing her\u00a0<strong>fictional\u00a0<\/strong>novel about an assistant language teacher who secretly takes three troubled students into her home in Japan.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"il\"><strong>Clara<\/strong><\/span><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><span class=\"il\"><strong>Solomon<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0is Director of Counseling &amp; Career Development at the Office of Career Services at New York University School of Law, where she oversees career counseling and programming, and serves as the full-time career counselor for more than 350 international students. She has worked in the Office of Career Services\u00a0 in a variety of capacities since 2003.\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Clara<\/span>\u00a0holds a Master&#8217;s Degree in International Education from the Steinhardt School of Education at NYU, with a focus on higher education administration and international student advising. She also received her B.A.,\u00a0magna cum laude, in East Asian Studies from NYU.\u00a0<span class=\"il\">Clara<\/span>\u00a0previously worked for the Japan External Trade Organization, specializing in trade relations between Japan and Latin America.
