Steven Horowitz (Aichi-ken, Kariya-shi, 1992-94)

Steven is the creator of JETwit and the founder of the Writers Interpreters Translators (WIT) Group.  He also served as the editor of the JETAA NY Quarterly Newsletter (now “JQ“) from 2002 through 2008, served as JETAA New York’s representative at the 2005 JETAA International Conference in Nagoya/Kobe, is currently a member of JETAA New York’s Board of Directors as well as the chapter’s Professional Outreach & Development Chair, and helped organize and serves on the JETAA USA Fund Committee.

In addition to the JETwit site, Steven has initiated a number of creative approaches to strengthening and connecting the JET alumni community worldwide, including the first-ever JET Alumni Author Showcase in March 2009, the JETwit Jobs Google Group and the JET ROI series intended to demonstrate the “return on investment” that JET alumni have provided to Japan in response to potential budget cuts to JET and JETAA.

A bankruptcy lawyer by training, Steven is also the creator of the Bankruptcy Bill and Bankruptcy Man cartoons (bankruptcybill.us) as well as the first-ever country song about corporate bankruptcy.

Steven lives in Brooklyn with his wife, Linda, and his daughter, Helen, and has a full-time job as a grant writer for the Jewish Outreach Institute.

Lee-Sean is the webmaster for JetWit and also for JETAA NY.  He is a graduate of Harvard as well as of NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP), and a co-founder and producer at Hepnova Multimedia.
