<p>Located in New York City, NY de Volunteer (NYdV) is a grassroots 501(c)3 non-profit whose mission is   to address critical needs in New York by empowering the local Japanese population and its friends to become positive change-makers through volunteerism and intercultural exchange.</p>
<p><strong>About the Position:</strong></p>
<p>The Development Associate/Grant Writer will work as a member of the Development Team, which is comprised of the organization’s full-time Executive Director and several volunteers including members of the Board of Directors and other interns. The Development Associate/Grant Writer will concentrate on fundraising, mainly through writing grant proposals, submitting grant requests, requesting funding renewal, and completing letters of inquiry to foundations and other potential funding sources.</p>
<p>Because NYdV is a small organization, your work will make a tremendous impact on the organization, your input will be valued, and your results will be clear and demonstrable. Few other organizations can offer an opportunity to make an immediate positive difference, and when you succeed, credit will be yours to take.</p>
<p><strong>Specific duties include:</strong><br />
1.            Research and identify potential funding sources;<br />
2.            Write grants;<br />
3.            Organize and maintain a tracking system for grant requests and other fundraising efforts;<br />
4.            Create budgets for proposed programs;<br />
5.            Serve as liaison to program officers and other staff at supporting foundations;<br />
6.            Assist in other development-related activities.</p>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong><br />
•  Excellent English writing skills and an interest in grant writing, report writing, and development research; experience in grant writing a plus but not required;<br />
•  Self-starter who is highly organized and has a strong attention to detail;<br />
•  Creative, energetic individual who understands and shares the NYdV mission.</p>

The SSRC seeks a Senior Program Assistant for its Tokyo office. This hire would be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Abe Fellowship Program under the supervision of the Program Manager in the Tokyo Office. The Social Science Research Council is an independent, not-for-profit research organization founded in 1923. <p><strong>Qualifications</strong><br />
•Two or more years experience in program administration preferred.<br />
•Fluency in English, and proficiency in Japanese (language and culture) are required.<br />

<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><br />
•Support Abe Fellowship Program Manager with administration of the program.<br />
•Administrative tasks including, but not limited to: file maintenance, preparing meeting materials, maintaining databases and spreadsheets, and updating program websites and outreach materials.<br />
•Manage logistics for domestic and international program-related events, including advisors meetings, workshops and meetings of scholars.<br />
•Arrange outreach activities, create program materials, and assist with marketing strategy.<br />
•Liaise with the funder, program committee members, and fellows.<br />
•Manage expenditures and reimbursements, and monitor the program budget.<br />
•Correspond and cooperate with the New York Office Abe Program staff.<br />
•Other duties and additional responsibilities and projects as directed, depending upon interest and capacity.</p>

<p>This position supports the Asian offices of an existing global client. The Customer Service Associate (CSA) role is intended to be an extension our client&#8217;s Human Resources department. The scope of Workforce Management services with this client includes workforce administration, workforce relations, compensation.<br />

CSAs spend the majority (approximately 60-70%) of their time directly servicing employees, managers, Human Capital Managers/Generalists, and various third party contacts via phones &amp; email communication. CSAs spend time working through various HR and benefits issues such as leave administration, exit interviews, and compensation. Additional activities may include employee follow up, resolving escalated issues, or compiling reports for Human Capital Managers/Generalists. The remaining amount of their time will be spent leveraging their skills as a team resource, functioning as an informal team leader, and partnering with client team management to assist and improve service delivery. </p>
<p>As a resource, the CSA will serve as a team expert in one or more of the following areas: client knowledge, HR and benefit plan knowledge, high quality customer service, third party vendor processing and/or internal processing on the team. The CSA will share their knowledge among the team through conducting client specific training where appropriate. As an informal leader, the CSA will leverage their client and operational knowledge to help others perform the day-to-day expectations of their role (i.e.: desktop tools, unusual or challenging situations, managing daily tasks etc..). </p>
<p>In the absence of managers, CSAs will assist with business continuity, team schedule adherence, and escalated calls. CSAs must exhibit strong adaptability/flexibility competencies to meet clients&#8217; Human Capital Management (HCM) needs. As a partner with team management, the CSA will identify and recommend improvements that will positively impact the efficiency and quality of service delivery. These improvements can include potential processes that can be automated or streamlined, providing suggestions for improving team measures, and on-line reference tools.</p>
