The Consulate General of Japan in New York is looking for two people who can help us with the following tasks:
  • Greeting JET Program applicants
  • Checking in JET Program applicant

Successful candidates will have to be able to commit the entirety of the following schedule:

  • 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (8 hours of work and 1/2 hour for lunch)
    • Lunch is provided by the Consulate
    • Lunch time is unpaid
  • On the following days:
    • Monday, February 3
    • Tuesday, February 4
    • Wednesday, February 5
    • Thursday, February 6
    • Friday, February 7

The compensation for of the above position is $15 per hour. Please note that your actual working hours may be less than 8 hours depending on the number of interviews scheduled on any specific day.

During the course of your duties working for the JET Program Office at the Consulate General of New York you will be exposed to and asked to handle Confidential Information, as such we require that you agree to and sign our Confidentially Agreement before you may begin employment at our office. Thank you for your understanding.

Ideally, we are looking for candidates who live in New York City or who can easily commute to our location on Park Ave, even in the event of heavy snow or other inclement weather. We have had problems with this in the past.

All the costs and logistics associated with commuting to and from our office are your responsibility. We apologize that we cannot provide any information regarding parking or prices in New York City.
