CORPORATE GIVING MANAGER

The Corporate Giving Manager outreaches to U.S., Japanese and international corporations to become corporate members so the corporation and its employees can benefit from the dynamic and wide-ranging cultural, business and public policy programs sponsored by Japan Society.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain Corporate Members and Sponsors, and to achieve Corporate membership revenue goals;
  • Organize cultivation visits with existing and potential donors;
  • Identify and research new prospects;
  • Prepare proposals, marketing materials, and reports for corporate membership and sponsorship solicitations;
  • Steward corporate members to take full advantage of opportunities to hold events and to sponsor cultural, educational, and corporate and policy programming at Japan Society’s landmark facility;
  • Work with Dvelopment staff on administration of corporate membership renewals and upgrades;
  • Respond to inquiries regarding corporate memberships and sponsorships;
  • Solicit participation of corporate members in sponsorship of annual dinner.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree and a minimum of three to five years related development experience. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational ability, and superior written and verbal communication skills. Past experience in front-line fundraising is important, and experience in corporate development is a plus.
