S&R Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports emerging creatives in the arts, sciences, and social enterprise who are pursuing social impact. S&R’s mission to support talented individuals encompasses broad support of individuals with great potential and high aspirations in the arts, sciences and social entrepreneurship, with a special emphasis on furthering international cultural collaboration and ensuing social benefits. Though a unique methodology developed over the past 15 years, individuals are provided with recognition, funding, inspirational space and a supportive community, allowing the facilitation of creativity, innovation and personal growth.

The Halcyon Incubator, a program of S&R Foundation, is an immersive, residency-based fellowship for early stage social entrepreneurs.  Halcyon provides fellows with free housing, workspace, mentorship, and strategic partnerships and resources to grow their business. Committed to social impact, the incubator does not take equity in the ventures it supports.

Position Summary

Establish nurturing relationships with Halcyon Incubator fellows. Coordinate the fellow recruitment and selection process, implement programming support, assist logistical support for the fellows. Contribute to the growth and sustainability of the Incubator Program. A successful applicant will have a passion for entrepreneurship.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement core programming: fellow orientation, lectures, pitch sessions, health and community series, social outings, and various events
  • Coordinate and monitor mentoring, leadership coaching, and pro bono partner relationships and activities
  • Manage all aspects of the fellow recruitment and selections process
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with fellows, staff, and external stakeholders
  • Design surveys, collect and analyze data to report on the program’s effectiveness; recommend and implement changes to strengthen the program
  • Prepare presentations and represent the Halcyon Incubator at conferences and events
  • Assist S&R Foundation’s Communications Manager with maintaining and updating social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn), and drafting key communications and invitations
  • Supervise, mentor, and establish workflow for the program’s interns
  • Provide support at non-Incubator S&R Foundation events
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Program Director and S&R Foundation leadership

Minimum Education Required: BA degree

Minimum Experience Required: At least two years of experience as a project coordinator/assistant in a fast-paced environment.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to communicate articulately and graciously in writing, over the phone, and in person
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently to achieve common objectives
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable interacting with a variety of stakeholders
  • Computer and tech literate, with strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Special Consideration: Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends to meet program requirements.
