Responsibilities:

  • Produce drafts of written materials such as press releases, summaries, reports and other client materials
  • Inform team members of possible issues regarding client projects
  • Assist in responding to RFPs and preparing proposals by correcting edits, compiling copies
  • Support other team members as necessary in order to complete client projects
  • Look for new business opportunities and present to staff
  • Conduct research using the internet, search engines and other means as appropriate
  • Monitor media, government and political issues and update media tracking spreadsheets or databases
  • Interface with vendor regarding products and services needed
  • Meet project deadlines as assigned
  • Coordinate and execute meeting logistics and events

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree and/or post-graduate degree in Public Affairs, Communications etc.
  • Relevant work experience in a public relations/communication environment
  • Good team player, research and organizational skills a definite must, keen to learn, proactive attitude
  • Computer skills: MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Social Media and Blogs

Office Environment:

  • The physical abilities needed to perform the duties of this position, in addition to the office climate.
  • Office environment is general office setting
  • Some travel required
