CAPA is headquartered in Boston and operates programs in Buenos Aires, Dublin, Florence, London, Shanghai, and Sydney. The CAPA Admissions Advisor is responsible for recruiting leads, advising students during the application process, and ensuring the student enrolls in a CAPA program. This position will report to the Supervisor of Student Admissions

Key Responsibilities Include:

Recruitment:

  • Recruiting students who have expressed interest in attending a CAPA program through making phone calls, social media, and sending email messages.
  • Offering advice on program selection and answering program- specific, country-specific, and other questions, such as those regarding credit transfer, scholarships, and financial aid.
  • Providing a high level of customer service support to students by answering any application and pre-departure questions they might have and helping them prepare them for their time abroad.
  • Meeting daily phone call and email volume targets as well as term-based student enrollment targets.

Admissions:

  • Engage students who have applied to one of CAPA’s program and maintain contact with them as you assist them through the enrollment process.
  • Speak regularly with the student accounts department to review student payment activity and assist when necessary to follow up on payments.
  • Monitor enrollments and student paperwork deadlines.
  • Manage client folders and ensure all information is up-to-date.
  • Keep students engaged throughout the enrollment process and ensuring they complete their application and deposit.
  • Advise applicants and inquiries on program selection, answers program specific questions as well as country specific questions, and helps with questions concerning: credit transfer, scholarships and financial aid and any other questions.
  • Adhere to preset daily call/email volume targets as well as student enrollment targets per term.

Overall:

  • Maintain student leads in Salesforce, an internet-based sales program, and track communications.
  • Provide a high level of customer service support to students, institutional contacts and parents by answering any application and pre-departure questions they might have, and preparing them for their time abroad.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Student Admissions Supervisor.
  • Some travel may be required during high-volume university recruitment drives.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree required
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing, and highly motivated personality
  • Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and customer service skills
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills; listening skills
  • Exceptional phone etiquette
  • Proficiency in using Social Media
  • Ability to work independently and also to collaborate as part of a team and across departments
  • Ability to adapt; flexibility
  • Solid attention to detail
  • Experience working in a study abroad office or for a study abroad organization preferred
  • Study abroad experience and a foreign language preferred
  • Prior experience working with university students preferred
  • Driver’s license preferred

Hours: This is a full-time role. Standard hours are 9:00 – 5:30, Monday to Friday. Due to the nature of the study abroad field, additional time beyond regular office hours and work on weekends and holidays is to be expected in this role.
