(2) Study Abroad Coordinator, Binghamton University Office of International Programs

The Binghamton University Office of International Programs has a Study Abroad Coordinator position available.

The Study Abroad Coordinator provides professional-level administrative, technical, and programmatic support to the functions assigned to the OIP. The designated responsibilities are to be performed with attention to accuracy, clear and courteous communication with OIP constituencies, and the efficiency required in a public university environment. Energetic enthusiasm is important for the promotion and outreach functions of this position. The incumbent must maintain excellent working relationships with faculty, study abroad directors and advisors, counterparts in other institutions in the U.S. and abroad, Binghamton campus offices, colleagues within OIP, and with the OIP student and parent clientele.

Primary responsibilities include: program management, general study abroad advising, and study abroad scholarship advising.

Requirement: Bachelor’s degree, excellent organizational, computer, and written and oral communications skills, and prior administrative experience are required. Experience working with and creating a welcoming environment for diverse students, faculty and staff required. Availability for occasional international travel is required. A master’s degree, significant previous administrative or teaching experience, experience in higher education, and strong aptitude for technology, especially graphic and web design, are preferred. Experience living or studying abroad and bilingualism preferred.
