#1: Leasing & Finance Associate

Overall purpose of the role:

Planning & Marketing support of BTMU Leasing & Finance, Inc. and BTMU Leasing & Finance Capital LLC.

Responsibilities:

– Support Supervisors in terms of various corporate planning and governance, such as long-term/annual business plan
– Conduct comprehensive control which includes portfolio management and revenue/expense reports
– Provide marketing supports and manage preparation of lease/loan proposals independently, based on various analyses, such as clients’ financial analysis, tax/accounting/legal structuring, and optimized pricing
– Manage the periodical update of all BTMULF’s policies, operating manuals and any internal procedures
– Preparation for various internal/external audits for BTMULF/BTMU LF Capital LLC. Manage the internal control and procedures necessary for compliance with applicable laws and regulations such as SOX, Vendor Risk Management and Transfer Pricing, etc.
– Enhance credit control process, such as preparation of convincing credit analysis and credit applications in accordance with Policy and Procedure, and proactive control of periodical credit reviews with due diligence in a timely manner

We require:

– Bachelor’s degree or Master’s preferred
– A minimum of 3-year related work experience in banking, leasing and/or structured finance
– Strong analyzing skill and background in accounting, computer, mathematics, economics and corporate finance helpful
– Team player with interpersonal skills
– Bilingual language skill in Japanese and English
– Quantitative analysis such as finance or engineering background would be helpful.

#2: M&A Associate

Overall Purpose of Job:

Play a key role in originating and executing corporate advisory services in collaboration with senior bankers, while providing extensive research/analysis and communicating with clients and relevant parties. This role will reside within our Asian Corporate Advisory, Asian Corporate Banking Division.

Responsibilities:

– Responsible for independently conducting analysis related to the origination of M&A transactions
– Conduct research/analysis of various companies and industries utilizing all available resources
– Identify high-quality acquisition opportunities/targets that meet client acquisition criteria/business strategy
– Compose compelling presentation materials under the guidance of senior bankers
– Thoughtfully explain presentation materials to clients in coordination with senior bankers
– Regularly communicate with colleagues in Japan to better understand and identify client acquisition needs
– Play key supporting role in the execution of M&A transactions
– Craft transaction timetables taking into consideration variables of numerous parties involved
– Produce valuation materials (largely independently) in collaboration with senior bankers
– Proactively manage the due diligence process
– Assist in facilitating communication among various parties on the deal team
– Act a primary point of contact for junior bankers, lawyers, etc. representing the counterparty

We Require:

– A Bachelor’s degree is required, an advanced degree is a plus
– Minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience in M&A advisory and other businesses in corporate banking, skills on corporate valuation and finance/accounting
– Bilingual fluency and effective communication skills in English and Japanese
– Certified for Series 79 or equivalent

#3: Vice President – GMDA Japanese Customer Marketing/Asian Corp Derivatives Sales

Overall Purpose of Job:

Derivatives & Structured Products Sales & Marketing for Asian counterparties in Americas

Responsibilities:

– Promote derivative products and solutions for risk management needs of Asian companies in the Americas
– Develop and enhance products coverage
– Find cross-sell opportunity of FX and other market products by sharing information with RMs & other product offices and provide high value solutions to the clients
– Collaborate with related office in Japan to capture cross border needs of clients
– Provide back up for other members of Asian Corporate Derivative Sales staff in their absence

We require:

– A Bachelor’s degree, and an advanced degree is a plus
– Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in sales and structuring of derivative products or banking experience
– Knowledge of Derivative Products
– 5 years+ experience in sales and structuring of derivative products or banking experience
– Bilingual fluency and effective communication skills in English and Japanese
– Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
– Broker Dealer licenses, series 79, 63 is not required but can be a decisive asset
