(1) Curriculum Integration Assistant (Temp)

DEPARTMENT: Office of International Education, Marquette University

POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position will be responsible for administrative work related to Curriculum Integration (CI). This is to include researching, analyzing, and summarizing course descriptions and syllabi for courses offered at current partner universities. These course descriptions and syllabi will then be aligned with Marquette University courses, in collaboration with the academic departments, to pre-determine course equivalencies and/or major and minor field of study. The CI Assistant will also be responsible for the entering, and management of, course equivalencies in Terra Dotta.

This position has an estimated start date of April 13, 2015, and will continue through June 30, 2015.  This is a full-time position, with the hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Competitive hourly wage, no benefits. The position will report to Karlin Webster, Associate Director, Office of International Education.

POSITION DUTIES:

–          Research partner university academics and programs
–          Collect example course lists and equivalencies
–          Match and synthesize course descriptions to align Marquette and partner university curriculums
–          Produce materials to showcase academic alignment between partner universities and Marquette academic offerings
–          Develop electronic communications targeting specific fields of study
–          Assist in the development of a centralized resource of international transfer course equivalencies

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

–          Attention to detail
–          Experience with project management
–          Experience with inter-departmental university projects
–          Native fluency in English
–          Strong writing and communication skills (in English)
–          Bachelor’s degree
–          Experience with Microsoft Office
–          Experience with web-based systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

–          Study abroad or significant living experience abroad (i.e. teaching abroad, Peace Corps, military)
–          Experience working in, or knowledge of, institutions of higher education

 (2) Assistant Director for Student Engagement @ University of Colorado

The Assistant Director for Student Engagement serves as one of four assistant directors reporting to the Director of the Student Activities Office. The position provides leadership and direction to the Student Activities Office department. The position specifically oversees the Student Program Council, Late Night Programming, Student Organization Registration, Student Organization support programming, and general programming and student involvement efforts. The Assistant Director for Student Engagement also serves as the advisor to the Distinguished Speakers Board, Homecoming Committee, and the Senior Class Council. The position is also responsible for coordinating trainings for Student Organization Advisors as well as providing program planning and production advice and support to various campus student organizations. In addition, this position directly supervises three exempt-professionals, Student Program Council Director, and Program Graduate Assistant.

The Assistant Director for Cultural Programs serves as one of four assistant directors reporting to the Director of the Student Activities Office. The position provides leadership and direction to the Student Activities Office department. Under the supervision of the Director of Student Activities Office, the Assistant Director is responsible for the leadership development, organization management, advisor training, assessment and fiscal oversight related to students and student organizations with an emphasis in multiculturalism, diversity, and inclusion programming. The Assistant Director will work to raise awareness among the CU community about multicultural and social justice issues through coordination and implementation of events, workshops and trainings. This position will be a representative from the Student Activities Office on various university committees and board meetings. In addition, this position directly supervises one exempt-professional, student staff and Program Graduate Assistant.

(6) CET Czech Republic Programs Coordinator (Washington D.C.)
The Program Coordinator’s primary responsibilities are to manage the daily operations of the CET programs in the Czech Republic. The Program Coordinator is an integral part of the Programming team and will primarily serve as the point of contact for admissions and student services of all CET programs in the Czech Republic. We are seeking detail-oriented candidates with excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to work independently, strong administrative skills, and a commitment to study abroad.  The ideal candidate will be both flexible and enthusiastic.  Study abroad experience in the Czech Republic is preferred.
