Position: Executive Coordinator of GW Study Programs

Overview:

The Executive Coordinator for GW Study Programs has oversight of GW’s four study centers located in London, Paris, Madrid, and Santiago, Chile. If further centers are identified this position could have a role in the development and management of those centers as well. This includes: supervising resident directors and assistants remotely (currently, a total of six employees in four countries); working with resident directors on all aspects of planning and budgeting for study abroad programs; overseeing health and safety protocols for GW managed programs; overseeing cyclical faculty/administrative reviews of GW study programs; and planning resident director training activities); and, supervising the GW Study Programs Assistant (a full time, DC-based employee); Oversight of GW admissions processes related to the study centers, including enrollment management, projections, admissions decisions, partner relations and providing predeparture orientation sessions. Strategic coordination of GW study center program operations(this includes – developing immersive, co-curricular experiences at GW study program sites, such as internships, civic engagement and/or active service learning programs); Other duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning additional responsibilities that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 5-6 years of relevant professional experience. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Desired Qualifications:

Three years of experience in the field of international educational exchange or combination of previous academic advising experience, education and living and/or working abroad desired. Prior managerial experience.
