I just saw this petition on behalf of Noriko Hino, founder New York de Volunteer, a New York-based Japanese volunteer group (as well as Tokyo de Volunteer, the Tokyo off-shoot created by former members of New York de Volunteer who moved back to Japan). I want to encourage all JETs and JET alumni to sign it to help Noriko as she has done and continues to do remarkable things for volunteerism, cross-cultural understanding and collaboration, and grassroots diplomacy, not to mention all the JET alumni who have maintained their connection to Japan by volunteering through her organization.
