Job Position: Project Manager – Shire Pharmaceuticals (Lexington, MA)

Job Details:

The focus of this role will be on project management of APAC commercial activities.
Key areas of responsibility of this role are:

  • Manage and coordinate projects of various scope and complexity through all phases of initiation, development and implementation.
  • Act as a liaison between all relevant functions in planning & coordinating key business initiatives critical to the achievement of assigned projects
  • Using project management skills, manage specific cross functional teams to ensure established objectives and timelines are met
  • Manage the coordination of: product & company trainings for APAC Shire personnel & partners; participation to scientific/industry meetings; KOL speaker engagements; Grant review process; APAC team/local partners/KOL visits to Shire HQ
  • Work collaboratively with VP APAC, Business expansion manager, in country teams, partners and consultants in APAC region to provide support for day to day requests
  • Assist in monthly budget management process
  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned
  • Responsibilities:
    40% Project management of meetings (local & in region) – assist in Agenda development, ensure Agenda & all materials necessary for meetings are prepared & distributed, develop and distribute minutes as well as other necessary follow-up to ensure clear understanding of deliverables and action items.
    30% Manage the coordination of training initiatives, scientific meetings, KOL speaker engagements, Grant review process, APAC visits to Shire HQ
    30% Work collaboratively with in country teams, partners and consultants in APAC region to provide support for day to day requests and to assist teams in delivering on business goals

    Education and Experience Requirements:
    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred

    Preferred:

  • International experience and proven success in biotech /pharmaceuticals industries
  • Working knowledge of Japanese / other Asian markets
  • Experience in marketing, strategic planning and an understanding of Global Market Economics
